Fetal DNA test (PRENATAL SAFE®)

Helab Centro Medico uses Prenatal Safe® tests to reveal the most common fetal chromosomic mutations.

Lactose Breath test

This test lasts approximately 90 minutes.

Test preparation:

The test requires special preparation. Please contact the Helab Center by telephone to obtain the necessary information.

How to prepare for the exam

You must be fasting and not have smoked for at least 8 hours
No antibiotics should be taken for the previous 4 weeks
No gastroprotective or gastric antisecretory drugs should be taken in the previous 2 weeks
A light meal is recommended the night before the test

Blood pregnancy test (Beta HCG)

EXAM PREPARATION:
No preparation is required.

Urine pregnancy test

Method of collection

Wash your hands with water and detergent and, with particular care, the urethral orifice and the surrounding area, then dry the cleansed areas
Open the sterile container taking care not to touch the edge and the inside
COLLECT A SMALL QUANTITY OF THE FIRST COLLECTION OF URINE in the sterile container
Close the container well, taking care not to contaminate the edge send to the laboratory as soon as possible, otherwise store in the fridge at 4°C for a maximum of 24 hours. Keep away from heat sources.

HPV screening – HPV typed

Searches for the presence of Human Papilloma Virus (HPV) DNA.

HPV screening investigates the presence or absence of viral DNA and strains 16 and 18, if present.
Typed HPV investigates the presence or absence of viral DNA and analyzes HIGH RISK strains of the Human Papilloma Virus

EXAM PREPARATION

refrain from sexual intercourse in the 24 hours prior to the test
On the day of the exam, perform regular hygiene of the external genitalia

Herpes Zooster test

How to prepare for the exam

wait at least 5 days after menstruation ends
wait at least 3 days from the end of any creams, candles, ovules, and vaginal washes.

Herpes Simplex 1 and 2 swab test

Exam preparation:

Do not take antiviral therapy for at least 7/10 days before the test
Do not apply creams in the days before the test
Avoid using vaginal suppositories or creams in the 3 days before
Wait 5 days after the end of menstruation

Result ready in maximum 7 days, also by email.

Bacterioscopic examination

HOW TO PREPARE FOR THE EXAM

wait 5 days after the end of your period
refrain from sexual intercourse in the 24 hours prior to the test

Il PrenatalSAFE® Plus valuta, olte alle aneuploidie dei cromosomi 21, 18, 13 e dei cromosomi sessuali (X e Y), anche la trisomia dei cromosomi 9 e 16 (opzionale) e consente di individuare la presenza nel feto di alterazioni cromosomiche strutturali submicoscopiche, quali alcune comuni sindromi da microdelezione.

L’esame è eseguibile tra la 10a e la 14a settimana di gestazione.

L’esame comprende la determinazione del sesso fetale, se richiesta.

Per analisi genetiche il costo del prelievo è di 15,00€.
